This project was created in collaboration with the Zoo Zurich and their ongoing construction of a new large open-air voliere emulating the environment of the brazilian ‘Pantanal’ region. This new habitat will span approximately 11’000 square meters and was developed in conjunction with the Zoo’s support of the ‘Arara Azul’ project.
The animation showcases the construction process through a variety of animation techniques and is intended to serve as a short visualizer at info boards around the construction site.

This second iteration of the storyboard was created to figure out which techniques could fit which sections of the animation.
While the original intention was to use a lot of different techniques, the final animation ended up slightly reduced in complexity, owed to time constraints. The segmented approach created the flexibility to replace or shorten segments and recombine them to great effect.
